The EAPP - Learn about the Eastern Africa Power Pool (EAPP), a regional institution established in 2005 to coordinate cross-border power trade and grid interconnection among nations of the Eastern Africa region. The EAPP now has 13 member countries and 14 member utilities with the General Secretariat based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Eastern Africa Power Pool area is known for its rich energy resources (hydro, geothermal, oil, gas, etc.), large and fast-growing population, and fast economic growth.
