Vanessa King—icandi Design + Development

I’m a graphic designer, web designer and web developer. I’ve worked as both a designer and a developer for more than 20 years. I’m proficient in the primary Adobe applications: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop; I hand-code HTML, CSS, PHP, and Liquid, and I work with JS and other code languages. I can build a site from scratch, using HMTL, JS and CSS, but these days I prefer to build self-hosted WordPress sites for their flexibility—and because I can edit anything and everything, including the WordPress core, if necessary. I’ve worked for myself, both as a freelancer and under the company I started in the mid-90s—icandi Design + Development—for almost 30 years. In that time I’ve had a wide range of experiences, created many interesting—and some award-winning—projects, and to this day I still really enjoy my work… and I’m damn good at it!
