Description
Mark's work explores quiet places that are often overlooked. He uses a 10 x 8 large format camera to make images rich in detail and clarity. Much of the work explores gardens, allotments and edgelands sometimes concentrating on specific gardens and spaces. The work is influenced by the strong British tradition of landscape painting and writing and in particular, W.G. Sebald, Ronald Blythe, Robert Macfarlane, Constable, John Nash and George Shaw. Mark's work is in national collections including the V&A, The Hyman Collection, The Government Art Collection and Norwich Castle Museum.
