Over the last 30 years Mary has invested in the community through volunteerism in a variety of capacities, some examples include : the board of her neighborhood association, volunteering for 10 years with an inner city community development organization, being one of the founders of the Haynie's Corner Art District Assoc, and currently serving as a mental health advocate.
