In the event of owners of properties situated within an area affected by a disaster within a meaning of Disaster Management Act, (Act No. 57 of 2002), and the Property Rates Act, as amended, Section 15(2) © and (d), and any other serious adverse social or economic conditions, an additional exemption on municipal valuation may be provided to property owners. Council will determine the amount and the period for which the rebate will apply.
