North Harbour Rugby Union (NHRU) is a provincial union formed in 1985 with our Premier Men's team in the Mitre 10 Cup Premiership, and Women's team (Hibiscus) in the Farah Palmer Cup. Our homeground is QBE Stadium in Albany.
The third largest provincial union in New Zealand, we have 12 feeder clubs across North Shore (East Coast Bays, Glenfield, Marist, North Shore, Northcote, Takapuna, Helensville, Kumeu, Silverdale, Mahurangi, Navy and Massey.
In 33 years, we have produced 33 All Blacks including Buck Shelford, Frano Botica, Frank Bunce, Rico Gear, Ian Jones, Walter Little, Glen Osborne, Eric Rush, Buck Shelford and Tony Woodcock to name but a few.
We are current holders of the Battle of The Bridge trophy competed for with neighbouring rivals Auckland, Semifinalists in the 2017 Mitre 10 Cup Premiership, and held the Ranfurly Shield in 2006 after beating Canterbury 21-17 at Jade Stadium in Christchurch.
