First settled as a coconut plantation in 1911 on the western shore of the Cape York Peninsular, Australia. Officially surveyed in 1913 and purchased as freehold land, size 220 acres, or 88.77 hectares. This beachside property is located above the eleventh parallel, in line with Thursday Island and in the Torres Shire Council area. It is believed to be the only freehold land on the mainland peninsular region above the fifteenth parallel.
