Trees and fish are more interrelated than you might think. As the slogan states: Michigan’s forests provide abundant clean water and quality fish habitat. Fish as well as humans and other wildlife greatly benefit from a trees ability to cast shade on the stream, prevent sediments and other pollutants from entering the stream, and directly input food and shelter into the streams food web, among other benefits.
