The Orchestre de la Suisse Romande is the premier symphony orchestra of French-speaking Swizterland, and principal orchestra of the Grand Théâtre de Genève. Composed of 112 musicians, the OSR today counts among the leading international orchestras. Founded by Ernest Ansermet in 1918, it continues to live its values of openess, solidarity, and creativity. OSR also assumes an important role in cultural outreach, education, and promotes its heritage through numerous activities in the city.
