APTA Private Practice, a component of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and was incorporated in Nevada in 1956 as a non-profit 501(c)6. PPS is a national membership association representing over 4,300 physical therapists that own, operate, and/ or work in a private practice setting. The mission of the APTA Private Practice is to {champion the success of physical therapistowned businesses}. The vision, {as leaders and innovators in the health care system, APTA Private Practice members are empowered to achieve management excellence and financial success,} captures the aspirations of the association for itself, its profession, and its members. APTA Private Practice members benefit from the Section's focus in areas of advocacy, education on practice management, business, marketing and public relations; legislative, regulatory, and payment policy.
